18 February 05:05
On Wednesday, February 18, a southern cyclone will arrive in Ukraine. Its trajectory will lie slightly further south, so it will affect the west and north with precipitation, but not too heavy. However, snow, ice, and strong winds are expected here tomorrow. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The central part of Ukraine will experience the most difficult weather conditions – snow, wet snow, rain, wet snow sticking, ice, and strong north-easterly winds. The eastern regions will also experience difficult weather conditions, but mainly rain. In the southern part, there will be rain, with wet snow in the Odesa region, stormy winds, and heavy precipitation,” the report says.
The air temperature tonight will be -5…-9 degrees, in the northern regions -10…-15 degrees, tomorrow during the day -2…-7 degrees, in the south, southeast, and Transcarpathia 0…3 degrees, in Crimea 5…10 degrees.
Snow is expected in Kyiv on Wednesday evening, with icy roads, temperatures of -12 degrees tonight, and -8 degrees tomorrow afternoon.
The forecaster notes that there will still be fluctuations of weaker moderate frosts in the near future.
However, a more stable warming to thaw and above-zero temperatures is expected from February 22-23.
