Ukrposhta gives free shipments for testing the new app

The national postal operator Ukrposhta has announced the launch of a new mobile application, which is already available for download in the App Store and Google Play in beta. The announcement was made by CEO Ihor Smelyansky, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

To everyone who downloads the beta version, Ukrposhta will give three free shipments at the Priority rate.

Main features of the beta version

Users can already evaluate the key features:

  • Push notifications about parcel arrivals, changes in delivery status, reminders of receipt, new promotions and promo codes.
  • Automatic display of shipments linked to a phone number without the need to enter a tracking number.
  • Detailed tracking with the route, sender, recipient, tariff, and QR code for scanning at the branch.
  • List of created shipments with the ability to search, sort, and filter.
  • Flexible choice of tariff when creating a parcel: “Priority (more expensive, but next-day delivery) or Basic (2-4 days at the lowest rate in Ukraine).
  • Online payment (currently only at the stage of creating a parcel).

The app also offers a universal parcel search function and an interactive map of branches with addresses, opening hours, types of branches, and the ability to plan a route without any hassle or paperwork.

What’s coming next

The service will be launched in three stages:

  • The second stage involves adding parcel management: forwarding, changing the recipient, and paying for delivery. After that, the company plans to completely abandon paper applications in branches.
  • The third stage is to expand the capabilities: accepting payments, ordering stamps, goods, and even medicines.

In-house development

Smelyansky emphasized that the app was created exclusively by the Ukrposhta team, without involving third-party companies. He encouraged users to download the app, test it and leave feedback in a special form.
