Ukrzaliznytsia receives new railcars to replace the lost Intercity

3 September 04:33

After the Russian attack on the Intercity train, Ukrzaliznytsia accelerated the renewal of its fleet and put new passenger cars into operation. They are already running on the routes to compensate for the loss of the damaged train and ensure the continuity of transportation. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

“Ukrzaliznytsia has received six new passenger railcars from Kryukiv Carriage Works. They have already been included in the train #203/204 Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk, the company said.

UZ emphasized that the delivery of cars even ahead of schedule is now critically important, as each new car allows to carry more passengers.

“We are always grateful to our partners for being responsive to our requests and making every effort to deliver new cars even ahead of schedule. After all, today every car on the account is an additional opportunity to carry more passengers,” Ukrzaliznytsia said.

The company also emphasized that even a slight acceleration in the time it takes to produce railcars from the plant is now of key importance.

“Right now, even the slightest acceleration in the timing of the release of cars from the plant is of key importance – especially against the backdrop of the loss of one Intercity train due to damage by an enemy drone,” the statement added.
