Umerov offers Russia next meeting for talks

National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov has offered Russia to hold a new meeting next week.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, [Komersant ] reports, citing his evening address.
“NSDC Secretary Umerov reported that he had offered the Russian side the next meeting next week,” the head of state said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the negotiation dynamics should be increased. In particular, everything should be done to achieve a ceasefire. In turn, the Russian side should stop hiding from decisions.
“The exchange of prisoners. Return of children. An end to the killings. And we need a meeting at the level of leaders to really ensure peace – a really lasting peace. Ukraine is ready for such a meeting,” the President emphasized.
The Head of State also said that the conversation with Russia on the volumes continues. In particular, the agreements of the last meeting in Istanbul are being implemented and the Ukrainian team is currently working on another exchange.
To recap, after the arrival of US President Donald Trump, Washington held a series of hotel talks with representatives of Kyiv and Moscow.
