About 20 animals were killed in a strike on a veterinary clinic in Chabany

In the village of Chabany in the Kyiv region, rescue workers evacuated animals from a veterinary clinic that was damaged during a massive Russian attack on April 3.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, which published photos and videos from the scene, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The service noted that at the time of the strike, there were animals in the clinic that were undergoing treatment or were being boarded.

How the rescue operation unfolded

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, rescuers tried to save as many animals as possible.

Specifically, they:

  • conducted an emergency evacuation from the damaged building;
  • administered oxygen to the injured animals;
  • tried to stabilize the condition of the injured.

The service noted that rescuers fought “for every life.”

Animal casualties

Despite the rescuers’ efforts, not all animals could be saved.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, approximately 20 animals died at a veterinary clinic in the Fastiv district as a result of the Russian strike.

Consequences of the massive attack

Damage from the Russian attack on April 3 was reported in several districts of the Kyiv region:

  • Buchanskyi District
  • Fastiv District
  • Obukhiv District

According to official data, one person was killed and eight others were injured, including a child.

Rescue and investigative services continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
