On the night of October 28, Russians attacked Kharkiv once again. The enemy hit a high-rise building in the Kholodnohirsky district. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the State Emergency Service, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov and Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.
It is noted that in the evening and at night, the enemy struck at Shevchenkivskyi, Saltivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv, as well as the city of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region. There is destruction and damage to residential infrastructure.”
Emergency and rescue operations are still underway in the Kholodnogorsky district of Kharkiv.
As of 9 a.m., there are 21 victims, including 5 children. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service were working at the site of the impact to provide the necessary assistance to people.
Emergency rescue operations are currently underway. More than 25 rescuers and 6 units of SES equipment are involved in the relief efforts.
Terekhov emphasized that as a result of the Russian strike on the high-rise building, the ceiling between the 8th and 9th floors was damaged, and three apartments were destroyed.
Syniehubov added that Russia also struck Chuhuiv at night. One of the hits was recorded on the territory of a private household in Chuhuiv, and an outbuilding was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
