The government has given the go-ahead to launch Sandbox, an AI and blockchain assistant for startups

Sandbox is a tool that allows companies to pilot and develop high-tech products under state supervision. This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
As noted, from now on, Ukrainian startups will be able to receive a full audit, as well as individual consultations and recommendations to create and develop products under uncertain legislation.
The Sandbox is designed for companies that launch high-tech products that can be used in the areas of the digital economy, public services, healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, education and science, defense, etc. Such products must use artificial intelligence or blockchain technology.
How it will work
The Ministry of Digital Transformation explained the algorithm of actions:
- a company submits an application for participation through the Innovation Development Fund’s web portal, providing information about itself;
- the application is processed by the administrator;
- if the company meets the requirements, the applicant will be able to add a description of the product itself;
- experts prepare a product research plan and agree it with the company;
- after that, the process of work of various specialists with this product begins.
Currently, the program will run for two years, until the end of 2026, but in the future, Sandbox may become a permanent tool to support innovation in Ukraine.
