Government updates “Own Business” program: how to keep up to UAH 1 million for business

More Ukrainians can now receive money from the state to start or develop their own business. The government has adopted a resolution that updates the “Own Business” grant program, expanding the range of participants and increasing the amount of financial support. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers.
What is changing in the program
More participants
Previously, only veterans and their spouses could receive grants. Now the program is open to
- parents and adult children of veterans,
- people with war-related disabilities.
Increase in the amount of grants
Starting January 1, 2026, the maximum grants will be
- uAH 100,000 – without the condition of job creation;
- uAH 200,000 – for one job created;
- uAH 300,000 – for two jobs;
- uAH 200,000 – for young people aged 18-25;
- uAH 1,000,000 for families of fallen or missing defenders for the creation of four jobs.
Possibility of repeat grant
An entrepreneur who has successfully implemented the first project can receive an additional microgrant for further business development.
New bank for the grant account
Now grants can be obtained not only from PrivatBank and Oschadbank, but also from Sens Bank.
Program results for three years:
- more than 28,000 Ukrainians have started or expanded their businesses;
- 51,000 new jobs were created.
The program has helped to launch both small businesses and develop existing enterprises.

Who can receive a grant
Individuals
Legal entity
INDIVIDUAL ENTREPRENEUR
Main conditions of participation:
- creation of 1-2 jobs (depending on the grant);
- use of funds in accordance with the approved business plan;
- payment of taxes and fees to the budget.
How to apply
To receive a grant, you must:
- Submit a business plan and application to the selected bank (PrivatBank, Oschadbank, Sens Bank);
- Meet the requirements for age, veteran status or family of the deceased/missing;
- Fulfill the terms of the program during the project implementation.
Through “Own Business” Ukrainians can receive state financial support to start or develop their own business and create new jobs.
