25 September 2025 23:20
The government has simplified the procedure for registering and de-registering citizens. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
Registration at the age of 17
Young men who turn 17 will now be able to register for military service:
- Remotely – through the Reserve mobile application , without visiting territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) and without undergoing a military medical commission (MMC).
- In person – at the district or city TCC and JV with the necessary documents.
The registration procedure will take place from January 1 to July 31 of each year.
Automatic registration of citizens aged 25-60
Men aged 25 to 60 who are not yet registered for military service without legal grounds will be registered automatically.
This will reduce the burden on the CMCs and eliminate the need for citizens to visit the centers in person.
Automatic deregistration
The deregistration of citizens who have reached the age limit for military service in the reserve will also be done automatically.
At the same time, the heads of state bodies, local governments, enterprises and institutions are obliged to make notes in the personal military registration lists within 7 days after the employee reaches the appropriate age.
Why the changes are needed
The government emphasizes that the innovations save time and resources for both citizens and government agencies.
“Automation of military registration is another step towards the creation of a modern electronic TRC. Thanks to digital tools, we eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy, reduce the workload of the CMC and JVs, make the system more efficient, and make the processes simple, convenient and transparent for citizens,” said Artem Romaniukov, Head of the Digital Transformation Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
