The government reduced the term for appearing under summons

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the deadline for appearing at the territorial recruitment centre (TCC) under summons, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The amendments are made by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 1134 of 1 October to paragraph 34 of the Procedure for Conscription of Citizens for Military Service during Mobilisation and for a Special Period. The relevant provision now reads as follows:
“the day of reporting by a reservist or person liable for military service from a settlement that is the administrative centre of a region is determined within seven days, and from other settlements – within ten days from the date of sending the call-up notice by registered mail with an inventory of the enclosures and a notification of delivery.”
Previously, persons who received a summons had to appear no earlier than 14 days after receiving it.

According to the new resolution, this period has been shortened. Now, for those who live in the regional centre, the deadline for appearance is 7 days. For residents of other settlements, the deadline is 10 days.
These changes apply to both reservists and persons liable for military service. They are intended to speed up the process of appearing at the TCC after receiving a summons.
Sending summonses by mail, as reported , the government simplified the mailing of summonses on 25 June. Now, a summons will be considered served even if the subscriber did not receive it in his hands or pick it up from the post office, but if he was duly notified of it, for example, via SMS. These rules actually provide for the possibility of imposing fines in absentia in case of failure to appear under a summons.
By the end of the year, the government plans to send out 900,000 summonses by mail, in a new format.
