According to BoxingScene, the publication’s team unanimously voted for Usyk as the winner of the Fighter of the Year nomination.
“The Ukrainian left-handed maestro was unbeatable as a professional, and in 2024 he won two major fights against the same enemy, Tyson Fury. Fury entered 2024 as the undefeated heavyweight champion. The huge, but relaxed and skillful British heavyweight ended the year with two defeats, both to a man he called “the rabbit,” the newspaper notes.
Artur Beterbiev, Jesse Rodriguez, Daniel Dubois, Naoya Inoue, Gilberto Ramirez, Oscar Collazo, Junto Nakatani, Nick Ball and Bahram Murtazaliev competed with Usyk.
Earlier, Usyk was recognized as the best boxer in the world by ESPN.

In the first meeting , Usyk won. Both boxers agreed to the rematch. According to Boxing Kingdom, Usyk will have the opportunity to earn much more money than he did in the first fight. For the rematch, Usyk will receive 60% of the total fee, and Fury will receive 40%. In the first fight, Tyson Fury received 2/3 of the total fee, and the Ukrainian boxer received the rest.
