On Saturday, January 24, the second day of negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and Russia on a peace plan began in Abu Dhabi.

According to sources, negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the US in Abu Dhabi have already resumed.

Yesterday’s talks focused on buffer zones and control mechanisms.

According to media reports, the meetings are being held in various formats.

“As the meeting will take place behind closed doors, it is not yet known what today will bring,” Sky News notes.

Negotiations in Abu Dhabi

Yesterday, January 23, negotiations between delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States began in Abu Dhabi. The Ukrainian negotiating team was led by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the key issue at the meeting in Abu Dhabi will be the territorial issue regarding Donbas.

Before the talks, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Ukrainian troops must leave the Donbas region. He called this “an important condition for the Russian side.”

In addition, prior to the negotiations, Zelensky held consultations with the Ukrainian delegation.

After the meeting, Umerov revealed details of the first day of negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
