As it became known [Kommersant] has learned from its own sources, today, 27 June, officers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine detained Kyrylo Tymoshenko, an adviser to the Minister of Defence and former deputy head of the Presidential Office. However, in an exclusive commentary, NABU spokesperson Anton Tatarnikov said he could not confirm or deny the news.
“I can neither confirm nor deny it. I will tell you this: some things can happen as secretly as possible in order not to harm the investigation and certain procedural actions,” he said.
According to preliminary information, NABU officers detained the official in a Kyiv restaurant in the city centre.
Meanwhile, the official himself said on his Telegram channel that his apartment was searched.
“I confirm that my place was searched in connection with a case I have nothing to do with. I have fulfilled all the requirements of law enforcement officers, and there are no complaints against me personally,” Tymoshenko wrote.
