Electric vehicles and hybrids will be officially banned from driving across the Crimean bridge starting November 3. The document with this restriction was signed by the so-called head of the region Sergey Aksyonov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“It has been decided to introduce a temporary restriction on the movement of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles from 00:00 on November 3, 2025, and until a special order,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Aksyonov, the decision was made in connection with the recommendations of security and law enforcement agencies. The goal is to ensure people’s safety.
on October 30, the Krasnodar Territory’s operations center reported that starting November 3, electric and hybrid cars from the Kuban side will be banned from crossing the Crimean Bridge. The relevant resolution was signed by the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev. Drivers are encouraged to use the land corridor from Taganrog to Dzhankoy. Before that, trucks were banned from using the Crimean bridge.
Later, the State Duma deputy from the region, Mikhail Sheremet, said that this was a necessary measure to strengthen security, noting that the decision was temporary.
As a reminder, on August 18 this year, the occupiers announced that they had foiled “an attempt to organize a terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge.”
“A car with a high-powered improvised explosive device arrived in Russia from Ukraine in transit through a number of countries. It crossed the Russian-Georgian border at the international checkpoint “Upper Lars” in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and was supposed to go to the Krasnodar Territory,” the statement said.
