Cheese production will decline in Ukraine: what to expect on the shelves

In September, despite rising prices, Ukrainian cheese producers managed to maintain sales. However, in October, imports of cheese from Europe are expected to increase, where prices are rapidly declining.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Infagro.
This makes the European product attractive to both retail chains and small players who can import cheese, pack it and sell it at a profit.
Cheaper imports will make it harder for Ukrainian producers to compete. Domestic cheese is more expensive and distributors are increasingly choosing more profitable options.
Imports are expected to grow in the fall, while Ukrainian cheese production is expected to decline. On the other hand, producers of cheese products and processed cheese remain active, with both domestic and export demand for these segments growing.
