Onion prices have fallen in Ukraine: prices have decreased by 12%

Prices for onions in Ukraine fell by 12% last week to UAH 16-26/kg,EastFruit reports , "Komersant Ukrainian".

The reason was an excessive supply of low-quality products at the end of the season, as well as stricter requirements of wholesalers for the quality of goods. Last year, at the same time, prices were higher – now onions are cheaper by an average of 12%.

Some farmers postponed sales until the end of April in the hope of getting a better price, but their expectations were not met.

At the same time, the quality of onions in storage continues to deteriorate, and demand remains low, so no positive price dynamics are expected in the market.
