Wholesale prices for autogas have fallen sharply in Ukraine: what is happening on the market
13 February 08:53
In February 2026, Ukraine saw a decline in wholesale prices for liquefied gas. This was due to supply exceeding demand—traders imported significant volumes of the resource but were unable to sell it in time. This forced suppliers to keep prices at a minimum level to avoid accumulating surpluses. This was reported by the industry publication Enkorr, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Wholesale prices for autogas fell to UAH 59,110 per ton
Between February 5 and 12, the average wholesale price of liquefied gas in Ukraine decreased by UAH 480 per ton to UAH 59,110 per ton. The main reason was excess supply in the market and weak demand from buyers.
Market participants explain that significant volumes of imported resources have created a surplus that is currently difficult to sell.
“Companies have imported a lot of goods, but they cannot sell them due to low demand and a lack of working capital,” market representatives said.

LPG prices from major suppliers remain within a narrow range
On the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, the average price of autogas was UAH 58,251/t, which is UAH 437/t more than in previous trading sessions. At the same time, market prices remain relatively stable.
The main offers on the market are as follows:
- Ukrgazvydobuvannya — 57,501–58,606 UAH/t;
- LPG Progress and Energy Trade — about UAH 59,000/t;
- GT GROUP — about 59,500 UAH/t;
- BRSM-Nafta — up to 59,800 UAH/t;
- on the capital market — 58,621–60,227 UAH/t depending on the manufacturer.
Prices remain stable in the central regions, but trading is taking place within a narrower price range.
Autogas imports have declined due to logistical problems
Autogas imports also affect the market situation. The manufacturer ORLEN Lietuva has raised prices for the resource by $10–15 per ton to $585–590/t, which creates the conditions for future price increases.
At the same time, supply volumes have decreased significantly:
- from Poland — only 646 tons, which is the lowest figure since September 2025;
- from the south — 8,000 tons compared to 16,200 tons a week earlier.
This was due to difficult weather conditions, in particular icy roads, which complicated logistics.
Cheap domestic resources are holding back price growth
Despite the decline in imports, domestic resources remain sufficient to meet market demand.
In particular:
- Centurion sells propane for 58,000–58,200 UAH/ton;
- Dancor Trade offers imported resources from Turkey for 30.25–30.50 UAH/liter.
Traders note that there are sufficient resources on the market to meet current demand, which prevents prices from rising sharply.
Prices at gas stations may change later
According to market data, in January, the average price of autogas at gas stations was 38.34 UAH per liter, and the wholesale price was about 33.26 UAH/liter.
At the same time, experts warn that new batches of imported gas purchased at higher prices may lead to higher fuel prices in the future.
“New, more expensive gas shipments and rising prices in Europe are creating the conditions for price increases in the Ukrainian market,” importers say.
So far, fuel surpluses and weak demand remain the key factors holding back price growth.
