Ukraine has canceled the schedule of power outages until the evening: when the power may go out again
3 November 12:01
Thanks to the emergency repair work, hourly outage schedules and power restrictions for industrial consumers have been canceled in all regions of Ukraine.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ministry of Energy’s Telegram and Ukrenergo’s message .
“Restrictive measures are expected to return for the period of evening peak consumption – from 16:00 to 22:00. Please follow the messages on the official pages of the regional power distribution companies in your region,” Ukrenergo said in a statement.
The agency noted that as a result of hostile attacks, consumers in several regions are without power in the morning. The situation in Donetsk region remains the most difficult. Emergency repair works in all regions affected by the shelling are ongoing. Power engineers are doing everything possible to bring the equipment damaged by the enemy back into operation as soon as possible.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption remains high. Today, November 3, as of 8:30 a.m., it was 6.8% higher than at the same time on the previous business day, Friday, October 31. The reason for the changes is the traditional increase in energy consumption at the beginning of the working week, as well as a smaller amount of restrictive measures.
Yesterday, on November 2, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 8% higher than the maximum on the previous Sunday, October 26. The reason for this is that less restrictive measures were applied.
“The need for economical energy consumption remains today. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances. Do not turn on several such devices at the same time from 16:00 to 22:00,” the company urged.
Russian strikes on the energy sector
In recent months, Russian troops have resumed attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine. In particular, as a result of Russia’s latest massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, hundreds of settlements in several regions were cut off from electricity on the night of October 30.
More than 400 settlements in Vinnytsia region were cut off, 125 in Dnipro region, and 148 in Zaporizhzhia region.
The western regions, including Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as Dnipropetrovs’k, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv, were hit.
