First mosque for Muslim military opened in Ukraine: video

A mosque intended for Muslim servicemen was opened in Ukraine. The opening ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs

“At the initiative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in whose ranks many Muslim fighters are fighting, the military mosque of As-Salam appeared in our country for the first time. The construction of the religious building took place thanks to the efforts of caring patrons,” the statement said.

The opening, according to tradition, began with the reading of the Quran and a joint prayer.

The new mosque has everything you need for religious ceremonies. The Quran is presented in two languages: Arabic and Ukrainian.

“Friday prayers and meetings for Muslims are planned here on a regular basis, where they will be able to learn to read the Quran and increase their spiritual faith,” said chaplain Suleiman Khairullayev.

Budanov also thanked the Muslim soldiers for their courage in the fight against the Russian occupiers and handed over to the mosque a collection of prayers and remembrances of Allah for Muslim soldiers prepared by the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
