5G has been launched in Ukraine. Still in test mode

Ukraine has launched a fifth-generation 5G communication network in test mode for the first time. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the minister, the Promprylad Innovation Centre in Ivano-Frankivsk, Vodafone’s office in Kyiv, and Nokia’s office in Helsinki (Finland) have successfully made a 5G call and tested the quality of the new generation of communication. “Everything works,” said Fedorov.
Currently, 5G networks are operating in more than 90 countries. In particular, the European Union plans to cover all cities and major transport routes with 5G by 2025.
“We have to develop innovations and catch up with the world, even despite a full-scale war,”
– the minister stressed.
Fedorov thanked the partners, Vodafone and Nokia, for an important step towards the introduction of the new technology in Ukraine. He expressed hope that 5G will be rolled out in the country very soon.
At the same time, the minister did not specify when exactly 5G could be launched for Ukrainian users.
