Ukrnafta decided to lease new cars for UAH 42 million

Ukraine’s largest oil producer Ukrnafta has announced two tenders for financial leasing for the purchase of cars, Kommersant Ukrainsky reports citing Prozorro data.
The first tender was announced on 21 May. The application period ends tomorrow, 29 May, and the auction itself is scheduled to take place on 30 May. The expected value is almost UAH 28 million, excluding VAT.
According to the technical specification, this money is to be used to purchase 25 new passenger cars. An important condition is that the year of manufacture of the cars should not exceed 12 months at the time of delivery. This means that the cars must be brand new. In addition, all cars must be equipped with air conditioning, rubber mats, audio systems, heated windows, etc.
Ukrnafta’s divisions in Ivano-Frankivsk region (12 vehicles) and Kyiv (13 vehicles) are planning to supply these vehicles.
Ukrnafta announced the second tender on 24 May. The expected value is almost UAH 14.5 million excluding VAT. The two tenders have the same contact person and data.
However, the company plans to purchase 13 vehicles instead of 25. They will also be sent to Ivano-Frankivsk region and Kyiv.
According to an independent audit by Grant Thornton, Ukrnafta earned UAH 23.6 billion in net profit in 2023. And the amount of dividends to be paid to shareholders based on the results of the year was twice the total amount of dividends for the previous 10 years.
on 6 March this year, Ukrnafta received a new Supervisory Board, which includes three independent members and two shareholder representatives appointed by Naftogaz and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
What is leasing?
Car leasing is, in fact, a long-term lease with a fixed monthly payment for the use of a car for a specified period and number of kilometres. When the agreement ends, the cars are returned to the lessor.
