The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has allowed former MP Serhiy Pashynsky to temporarily leave Ukraine to participate in the International Defense Exhibition IDET-2025, which took place in Brno (Czech Republic) in late May. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the relevant decision of the HACC.

The decision was made on the basis of official letters from BTG Enterprise, VMT Trade s.r.o. and MSM Export. They asked the court to ensure Pashynskyi’s participation in this industry forum as the head of the National Association of Defense Industry of Ukraine.

The official left Ukraine at the end of May and was supposed to return home in early June after the exhibition. The HACC recognized the amount of the previously posted bail of UAH 272.5 million as sufficient security for Pashynskyi to fulfill his procedural obligations and arrive back to Ukraine in a timely manner after his business trip.

It should be noted that Pashynskyi is suspected of committing corruption crimes. In particular, he is suspected of misappropriating large amounts of public funds. on January 30, Pashinsky officially received a new notice of suspicion. This happened after the previously filed charges were amended and a new proceeding was opened – No. 52025000000000046 – on suspicion of Pashynskyi and a group of other accomplices of committing crimes under Part 4 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 191 and Part 1 of Article 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Nevertheless, the HACC took into account all the circumstances and thoroughly checked the reliability of the security provided by Pashynskyi to avoid a possible risk of absconding. The court allowed him to temporarily leave Ukraine. The suspect was obliged to return to the country in a timely manner after his officially declared business trip.

This issue has gained wide publicity in society and among the legal community, given Pashinsky’s high-profile activities and the charges brought against him.
