HACC upholds arrest of ex-head of Khmelnytsky MSEC and reduces bail by almost half

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the arrest of the former head of the Khmelnytsky Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC), Tetiana Krupa, until September 7, 2025, reducing the bail from ₴112 million to ₴56 million.
This was reported by the HACC press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
In case of bail, Krupa will have to:
- appear when summoned by the investigator, prosecutor or court;
- not leave Khmelnytsky without permission;
- report any change of place of residence;
- surrender his international passport.
As a reminder, Krupa is suspected of massively illegally issuing disability certificates to men who tried to avoid mobilization. Searches in her office and home were conducted in the fall of 2024.
The following items were seized during the searches:
- $5.3 million in cash,
- €300 thousand,
- more than ₴5 million,
- lists of evaders with fictitious diagnoses,
- fake medical documentation,
- branded jewelry.
According to the Ministry of Health, 445 decisions of the MSEC to grant disability to officials have already been canceled as a result of the inspections.
