Yesterday’s shelling of Kyiv: the number of casualties has increased, the debris is being cleared

As of the morning of 9 July, the number of casualties and injuries from yesterday’s missile attack on Kyiv has increased. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the State Emergency Service.
In Kyiv, the rubble after the Russian strikes on 8 July was being cleared all night. The body of a boy was found in the Shevchenkivskyi district during the work.
“As a result of yesterday’s enemy attack on Kyiv, 27 people were killed, including 4 children, 117 were injured, and 7 people were rescued,”
– the SES said.
Elimination of the consequences of the shelling is still ongoing at 3 locations. A total of 377 rescuers and 76 units of SES equipment are engaged at the scene.





It should be added that yesterday the Russian army attacked Kyiv with missiles. Air defence forces were deployed in the capital. However, as a result of the missile strike, debris fell.
As reported, the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv was damaged. There are children under the rubble. The exact number of injured and dead in Okhmatdyt is currently unknown.
According to President Zelenskyy, during a massive missile attack yesterday, Russia fired more than 40 missiles of various types, attacking Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk.
The enemy also fired missiles at Kryvyi Rih, killing 10 people, with 31 wounded already in hospital .
