From tractors to combine harvesters: farmers receive compensation for new equipment

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has approved the first compensation payment of 2026 for purchased Ukrainian agricultural machinery, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
A total of 382 agricultural enterprises will receive 126.1 million hryvnia in compensation.
This applies to companies that submitted applications in December 2025, as well as in January and February 2026.
How the program works
The state program provides for compensation of 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment for agricultural producers.
Reimbursement is provided for products from 118 domestic machine-building enterprises included in the ministry’s official list.
According to Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev, under this program, the state will reimburse 864 units of new equipment already in use on farms and in agricultural operations.
Which regions received the most compensation
Agricultural producers from several regions of Ukraine made the most active use of the program:
- Odesa region — 25.8 million UAH in compensation;
- Ternopil region — 13.8 million UAH;
- Chernihiv Oblast — 9.5 million UAH;
- Vinnytsia region — 7.8 million UAH;
- Cherkasy region — 7.6 million UAH.
How much equipment have farmers already purchased
The compensation program was reinstated in 2024.
During this time:
- 8,600 enterprises have taken advantage of state support;
- farmers purchased 13,700 units of equipment;
- the total value of purchases amounted to nearly 9.9 billion UAH;
- the state reimbursed approximately 2.1 billion UAH.
How much funding is allocated for 2026
The 2026 state budget allocates 1.8 billion UAH to fund the program.
These funds are intended to support demand for Ukrainian equipment and stimulate the development of the domestic machinery industry.
What equipment is purchased most often
According to the results of 2025, the most popular categories of equipment among farmers were:
- tractors — 40.4% of all purchases;
- combine harvesters — 17.6%;
- mini-tractors — 10.8%.
