Russian television channels interrupted broadcasts for several minutes to show reports of a coup d’état, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The message was shown in the evening of January 14. Instead of broadcasting the message, many channels played an alarm sound and a caption saying that Putin had been assassinated and that Kadyrov had seized power.

“ATTENTION!!! An assassination attempt has been made on the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Ramzan Kadyrov has seized power. Mikhail Mishustin is holding an emergency meeting to localize and stabilize the situation in the country, as well as discuss the issue of ending the war,”

– the message read.

Judging by the fact that there were no “developments in the situation,” the message turned out to be a hacker hack, and a coup d’état has not yet taken place in Russia.
