Power outages on November 5: how the schedules will work

Today, on November 5, electricity consumption restrictions will be imposed in some regions of Ukraine. The reason is the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrenergo.
Time and scope of restrictions
Schedules of hourly outages:
from 07:00 to 21:00 – in the amount of one to two queues.
Schedules of power restrictions:
from 07:00 to 22:00 – for industrial consumers.
Ukrenergo warned that the time and scope of restrictions may change.
“Follow the information on the official pages of the regional power distribution companies in your region. When electricity is supplied on schedule, please use it sparingly,” the power company said.
Who determines the number of queues in the regions
The decision on the number of LMP queues to be used in certain regions is made by the chief dispatcher of Ukrenergo. It depends on the level of electricity deficit in a particular region, consumption volumes, number of industrial facilities and critical infrastructure enterprises.
“Consumption in different regions of Ukraine differs significantly, so blackout schedules are formed individually for each regional power company,” the Ministry of Energy said.

What energy companies ask
Energy companies urge Ukrainians to use electricity as economically as possible:
- not to turn on energy-intensive appliances at the same time,
- limit the use of electric stoves, boilers, and air conditioners,
- turn off lights in rooms where no one is present.
