Starting today, 37 new cameras will begin operating on Ukrainian roads: where they will be installed

Starting Friday, March 6, 37 more automatic traffic violation detection systems will begin operating on Ukrainian roads. This will bring the total number of speed cameras in the country to 377.
This was announced by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Where will the new cameras be installed?
According to Biloshitsky:
- 35 systems will be installed in new locations
- 2 cameras will resume operation after technical work.
New cameras for recording violations will appear in several cities and on key highways.

- Brovary
- Obukhiv
- Vyshgorod
- Bila Tserkva
- Vinnytsia
- Chornomorsk
- Zolotonosha
- Chernihiv.

- M-06 Kyiv — Chop
- M-07 Kyiv — Kovel

How the automatic recording system works
Cameras automatically record traffic violations, including:
- speeding;
- driving in public transport lanes;
- other traffic violations.
After the violation is recorded, the information is sent to the police, where a fine is issued to the vehicle owner.
Fines can be received through “Diyya”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs previously reported that through the Diya app, drivers can receive:
- notifications about fines
- photo and video evidence of the violation.
Fines can be paid online:
- by bank card
- via Apple Pay
- via Google Pay.
Will penalty points be introduced?
The police also denied information about the launch of a penalty point system for drivers in 2026.
According to Oleksiy Biloshitsky, the relevant draft laws are only being considered and have not yet come into force.
