From now on, you can confirm a person’s pension status and generate an e-pension certificate in a few clicks

A new service has been launched on the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine: search for a pension certificate. This was reported by the Pension Fund, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs.
Under what circumstances will the new service help?
For example, to confirm that a person is a pensioner, he or she presents his or her pension certificate to various institutions and government agencies. However, sometimes circumstances arise when an organization or agency needs to verify the validity of a person’s pension certificate. This can happen, for example, when a person crosses a border.
As a rule, a corresponding request was sent to the Pension Fund of Ukraine to verify the document, and this procedure took some time. Now it can be done in a few clicks.
To verify the validity of a pension certificate, the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s electronic services web portal has implemented the Pension Certificate Search service.
By submitting a request on the web portal, an official can quickly check the status of a pension certificate (whether it is valid or not) and the date of its issuance using the number of the pension certificate.
How to use the service
You need to go to the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s electronic services and select the option “Search for a pension certificate”.
In the window that opens, fill in two fields: select the type of pension certificate (paper, electronic or E-pension certificate) from the drop-down list and enter its number. When entering the number, you can use the dialog box prompts.
After filling out the search form, the pension certificate data will appear on the screen.
The number of e-documents is growing
Ukrainian pensioners now have the opportunity, if they wish, to create an e-pension certificate that will be displayed exclusively in the Diia mobile application. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has recently launched this service.
That is, pension recipients can choose only the electronic format of the certificate without issuing it on paper or in the form of a payment card.
Such an e-document can be created through the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or by contacting the nearest service center of the Fund.
According to Yevgeniy Kapinus, Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, “an e-pension certificate is an electronic document that confirms the fact of granting a pension and does not require additional presentation of a paper pension certificate. If desired, a person who has been granted a pension can receive a pension certificate exclusively in electronic form without producing a paper one.”
One of the advantages of the e-pension certificate is that it can be obtained much faster than the paper version, usually within a few days of application.
However, it should be noted that scanned copies must be prepared before submitting an application for an electronic pension certificate:
– certificate of taxpayer identification number
– passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
– color photo taken within the last 6 months;
– physical signature in black in jpg format.
