Both official and unofficial salaries were raised for domestic builders

Employees of the construction industry in Ukraine can expect a significant increase in wages. However, only the official one. Such changes are enshrined in a new sectoral agreement concluded between the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development and the Trade Union of Construction and Building Materials Industry, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the agreement, the basic salary in the industry for the simplest specialties has been raised from UAH 6995 to UAH 12142 per month, an increase of 73%.
Under the new standards, the minimum wage rate for unskilled workers has increased from 231% to 401% of the subsistence minimum. The agreement also establishes updated pay ratios for various professions, as well as additional payments for night shifts and overtime.
Management positions also received significant salary increases. Chief engineers and heads of capital construction will be able to earn from UAH 48.6 thousand, and cement production specialists from UAH 54.6 thousand.
The highest salaries are for scientists: deputy researchers with a doctorate can expect a salary of 80,500 hryvnias.
In addition to the salary increase, the agreement includes measures to legalize labor relations, improve staff qualifications, and improve labor safety conditions in the industry.

Real salaries in the construction industry
In reality, construction workers do not always receive an official “white” salary, especially with a breakdown into salaries, additional payments, etc. More often than not, workers are paid “in an envelope.”
According to the recruitment website work.ua, the average salary in the category of “Construction, Architecture” in Ukraine as of August 2025 is UAH 30,000. At least this is the salary indicated by employers in their vacancies.
This is 20% higher than the national average salary of UAH 25,000.
Salaries in the industry, of course, vary by specialty. An auxiliary worker will receive the least – UAH 23.5 thousand. Among the working specialties, such as installers, builders, and welders are especially valued, with salaries of UAH 34-35 thousand.
But a project manager or deputy chief engineer will receive significantly more.
As you can see from the infographic, over the past year, the salaries of industry professionals have increased significantly.
