The enemy attacked Dnipropetrovs’k, Mykolaiv, Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine: what are the consequences?

On the night of September 20, the Russians massively attacked Dnipro, Mykolaiv and other Ukrainian cities. The enemy fired missiles and drones, damaging houses and other infrastructure.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russians launched 579 drones, 8 ballistic missiles, and 32 X-101 cruise missiles at Ukraine. The air defense system neutralized 552 enemy UAVs, two ballistic missiles and 29 X-101 missiles.
During the attack, the enemy used traditional tactics – a simultaneous attack on designated targets with a large number of missiles and UAVs of various types.
Ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and 23 attack UAVs hit 10 locations, and downed missiles (wreckage) fell at 10 locations.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said that he had not slept all night because of the enemy shelling, and in the morning Russians hit a residential building with a missile.
It is worth noting that during the night the enemy repeatedly tried to attack the city with drones. Because of this, many series of explosions were heard.
As of the morning, cruise missiles were spotted in Ukrainian airspace, including those flying towards Dnipro. Local publics wrote that after the explosions, there was a lot of smoke in the city, as well as power and water outages.
The head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, confirmed that Dnipro and the region were attacked by drones and missiles.
“Several fires broke out in Dnipro and the region. A multi-storey building, private houses, outbuildings, and garages were damaged. There is destruction on the territory of enterprises,” he wrote.
The number of people injured in the night shelling of Dnipro is 30, 12 of them are in hospital. One person was killed.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the city of Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovs’k region was also attacked by drones and ballistic missiles at night.
The head of the JFO said that a business was damaged and a fire broke out.
In the morning, it became clear that the enemy had launched a combined attack on Mykolaiv. According to the head of the JMA, Vitaliy Kim, Russia sent ballistic missiles and drones to the city.
“Industrial infrastructure was under attack, and fires broke out. As of now, there is no information about the victims,” Kim said.
He also informed that the consequences were recorded in the region. In particular, in the Bashtanka district, Russians attacked a farm in the Snihuriv community with drones at night. It is known that there was a fire in the warehouses. The blast wave damaged private houses and two cars.
It was a restless night for Kyiv region, where the enemy also sent drones and missiles. According to Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the JMA, the consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in Bucha, Boryspil and Obukhiv districts. In particular:
- in Boryspil district, about 10 garages were damaged;
- in Obukhiv district, a private residential building caught fire as a result of the attack;
- in Bucha district, 5 passenger cars caught fire due to falling debris from the downed target. The fire is currently under control.
According to Serhiy Tyurin, the head of Khmelnytsky Military District Administration, as a result of an enemy attack in Dunayevetska community, the body of a dead man born in 1979 was found during the firefighting in one of the houses.
Two more people turned to doctors. Two houses were destroyed in the region, and about 20 residential buildings were damaged.
Odesa region was also under enemy attack. A fire broke out in the warehouse of a farm and warehouses with agricultural machinery were destroyed.
Russians attacked the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region again. A private house in the Borznyanska community caught fire as a result of a Russian drone strike. A 62-year-old local resident died.
