Hostile attack on Kyiv caused an accident on the heating main: houses without heating

As a result of the massive attack on Kyiv, heating networks were damaged: some buildings were left without heating. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Telegram of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
After another massive attack on the capital on Friday night, new infrastructure damage was recorded in Kyiv. Enemy debris and explosions caused emergencies in certain sections of the city’s heating networks.
Desnianskyi district is without heat due to a damaged main
The most difficult situation is currently observed in Desnyanskiy district, where the heating main has been temporarily cut off due to a breakdown in the heating main.
“As a result of a massive enemy attack in Kyiv, sections of heating networks were damaged. In Desnyanskiy district, due to an emergency on the heating main, there is no heat supply to some buildings. The city’s utilities are now working on the ground to quickly determine the nature of the damage and begin immediate elimination of the consequences,” said Klitschko.
Utilities are working continuously
Emergency crews are already working in all the damaged areas. Specialists are
- determine the extent of the damage,
- localize emergency areas,
- carry out repairs and restoration work,
- ensure safety in the damage area.
What we know about the victims of the Russian attack
The massive strike damaged not only heating networks, but also residential buildings and infrastructure in different districts of Kyiv.
There are already 11 victims in the capital. 5 of them were hospitalized. In particular, a pregnant woman was hospitalized. One man is in extremely serious condition.
In Darnytsia district , debris fell in the yard of a residential building and on the territory of an educational institution. In addition, a car caught fire as a result of falling debris.
In Dniprovskyi district, 3 apartment buildings, as well as a private estate and a fire in an open area were damaged.
In Podilskyi district , 5 residential buildings and a non-residential building were damaged.
In Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in an open area near a medical facility and in a non-residential building as a result of falling debris.
In Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out in a medical facility as a result of debris, and a non-residential building was also damaged.
In Desnianskyi district , 2 residential buildings caught fire.
In Solomyansky district, a fire was recorded on the roof of a residential building.
In Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out in a private house as a result of falling debris.
Medics and emergency services are working at all locations.
There may be interruptions of electricity and water supply in the city.
