AFU shot down Russian plane and helicopter, the number of battles on the front has decreased – General Staff

The number of battles on the front has decreased over the past 24 hours. The military recorded 96 military clashes, while the day before last, on 6 August, there were 136 clashes. Also the AFU “landed” an aircraft and a helicopter. About it reports "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Over the past day, a total of 96 military clashes were recorded. The enemy is still active in the Pokrovsky direction, where almost a third of its offensives took place.
Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile strikes with five missiles on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, as well as 69 air strikes, dropping 110 KABs. In addition, the enemy fired more than 5,200 shells, 114 of them from multiple rocket launchers.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, in the areas of Pavlovka, Belovody, Kiyanitsa, Zhuravka, Yunakovka, Manukhovka, Mogrytsa, Ugroids, Chasov Yar, Toretsk, New York, Kurdyumovka, Vozdvizhenka, Alexandropol, Grodovka, Novogrodovka, Konstantinovka, Urozhaynoye, Novodonetskoye, Pyatikhatki, Novoandreyevka and Lobkovo.
Situation at the front
In the Kharkiv direction, the number of attacks increased to three during the day. The defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Volchansk and Tikhoy.
In the Kupyansk direction, there were five attempts by the Russians to advance near Petropavlovka, Kolesnikovka and towards Novoosynovo.
In the Limansk direction, the enemy attacked 12 times near Novosergievka, Makeyevka, Nevskoye, Torskoye and in the Serebryansky Forest.
In the Seversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six assaults by Russian invaders near Spirnyi, Verkhnekamenskoye and Pereezhnoye.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupants attacked seven times – all their efforts were concentrated near Chasovy Yar. There they also carried out two airstrikes with NARs.
On the Toretsk direction, the enemy made 11 attacks in the areas of Severnoye, New York, Zheleznoye and Toretsk. The Russian aggressor carried out 19 airstrikes on Toretsk and its neighbouring areas, dropping more than three dozen guided bombs.
In the Pokrovsky direction our defenders repelled 28 assaults in the areas of ten different settlements. Vozdvizhenka, Zhelannoye, Karlovka and Grodovka are the main areas of concentration of the occupants’ efforts. With air support, the Russians tried to dislodge our units from their positions.
In the Kurakhivka direction, the Defence Forces repulsed five enemy attacks near Krasnogorovka, Konstantinovka and Paraskovievka.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops made two attempts to advance from thedirection of Vladimirovka.
On the Orekhivskyi direction, there was one engagement near Robotino.
In the Prydniprovsky direction, all four attacks of the invaders were unsuccessful.
In the Volyn and Polesie directions, there were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions , the enemy is shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federationand launching air strikes.
Enemy losses
Yesterday the aviation and rocket troops and artillery of the Defence Forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of the enemy’s personnel and military equipment, as well as hit two air defence facilities, seven air defence vehicles and two warehouses with ammunition of the occupants.
In total, over the past 24 hours, the losses of the Russian invaders totalled 1,140 people. Also, Ukrainian soldiers disarmed two tanks, nine armoured combat vehicles, 36 artillery systems, four MLRS, four air defence systems, one aircraft, 81 operational-tactical UAVs, three missiles, 59 vehicles and eight units of special enemy equipment. Also, the occupants have confirmed the loss of one helicopter in the previous days.
Total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 08.08.24 tentatively amounted to:
- personnel – about 587510 ( 1140) men liquidated;
- tanks – 8431 (2) units;
- armoured fighting vehicles – 16332 (9) units;
- artillery systems – 16487 (36) units;
- MLRS – 1,142 (4) units;
- air defence systems – 914 (4) units;
- aircraft – 366 (1) unit;
- 327 (1) helicopters;
- 13,293 (81) operational-tactical UAVs;
- cruise missiles – 2,424 (3) units;
- ships/boats – 28 units;
- submarines – 1 unit
- vehicles and tanker trucks – 22285 (59) units;
- special vehicles – 2,767 (8) units.
