How long will Kyiv residents get wet in the rain: the weather forecaster made an accurate forecast

It has been raining in Kyiv since the night before. As Natalia Ptukha, head of the press service at the Hydrometeorological Centre, told Kommersant Ukrainsky 
, 15 mm of rain had already fallen as of the morning of 12 June.
“We warned that there would be such weather conditions in certain regions. The cyclone has a swirling shape and is moving eastward over the northern and central regions, so it will gradually move away, but we expect it to continue today in the Kyiv region,”
– the forecaster explained.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, precipitation will ease somewhat in the evening.
“In the evening, the weather will ease, retreating to the north-east. The rains in our country will end completely only in the middle of the night,”
– ptukha stated.
Updated data on the amount of precipitation, including in Kyiv, will be available in the morning of 13 June.
“We are already seeing flooding in some areas of Kyiv where storm drains (rainwater inlets) are not working well. We take measurements every 12 hours. Tomorrow at about 8 o’clock we will publish data on the amount of precipitation in the capital during the day,”
– the official explained.
Information on the amount of precipitation that fell in other regions during the day will be available when the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre processes data from all weather stations in Ukraine.
