How to register for military service online: new “Reserve” feature
31 December 00:10
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has begun testing a new feature – online military registration in the Reserve mobile application. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The initiative should simplify the registration procedure, reduce bureaucracy and reduce the burden on territorial recruitment and social support centers (TSC and SP).
What is being tested
This is a remote military registration without personal visits to the recruiting centers and paper procedures.
Some citizens will be able to submit their data online after receiving an invitation to participate in the test.
Who can join the testing
Men who are not yet registered for military service and who
- turn 17 in 2026; or
- are between 25 and 59 years old at the time of application.
To join, you need to fill out a special form and wait for an invitation email. You also need to update the Reserve app to the latest version.
Who is not yet eligible
Women who are subject to military registration by profession cannot currently register online – the procedure for them remains through the TCC and JV.
Men aged 18-24 are not yet involved in testing this feature.
Why is this necessary?
The Ministry of Defense explains that digitalization
- reduces queues and paperwork;
- removes part of the burden from the TCC and JV;
- makes the process more convenient and faster for citizens.
Earlier in December, it was reported that men from the age of 18 would be automatically registered for military service as part of a pilot project launched by the Cabinet of Ministers for conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists. The current testing in the Reserve is part of a broader digital transformation of the military registration system.
