What used cars were most often imported by Ukrainians in 2024

In 2024, more than 222 thousand used cars were registered for the first time in Ukraine. This is 4% more than a year earlier. This was reported by the Ukravtoprom association, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Used cars accounted for about 75% of the total car market in Ukraine, as they were registered about three times more than new cars. Their average age is 9 years.
Almost half of the imported used cars (47%) in 2024 were equipped with gasoline engines. The share of diesel cars is 25%, electric cars – 18%, and hybrids and cars with LPG – 5% each.
The most popular used cars in 2024 are Volkswagen, Renault, Skoda, and Nissan. Volkswagen Golf and Renault Megane remain the leaders among the model range.
Also in the top 10 are: Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Passat, Nissan Leaf, Audi Q5, Nissan Rogue, Tesla Model 3, and Mazda CX-5.
In December 2024, Ukrainians purchased more than 5.5 thousand new passenger cars. This is 6% less than in December 2023.
“At the same time, the demand for new cars increased by 5.7% compared to the previous month (November 2024),” the report said.
The Japanese brand Toyota holds the lead in the market with 810 units. Skoda is in second place – 628 units. Renault is in third place – 526 units.
VW (435 units) and PEUGEOT (380 units) are also in the top five.
