Monday, January 19, will begin with a significant cold snap and persistent frosty weather in Ukraine.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Tonight, temperatures are expected to reach -14…-22ºC, and tomorrow during the day -9…-14ºC. In the southern regions, temperatures will be slightly higher.
“In the southern part, it will be a few degrees higher, but it will also be frosty, even in Crimea. The frosty weather will be compensated by the absence of precipitation and periodic sunshine,” the forecaster added.
The forecaster explains this situation by the influence of a powerful anticyclone from Asia, which is spreading a zone of high atmospheric pressure to the territory of Ukraine.
Icy roads are also forecast in most regions.
In Kyiv, January 19 will be dry and frosty. At night, the temperature will be -15ºC, and during the day, -10ºC. No significant precipitation is expected.
