Japan’s Terra Drone has entered into a strategic partnership with Ukraine’s Amazing Drones

The Japanese company Terra Drone Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Amazing Drones, which develops interceptor drones.
This was reported by Defender Media, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The investment was made through Terra Inspectioneering, a subsidiary of Terra Drone. The parties have not disclosed the exact value of the deal.
Plans for investment in development
Terra Drone stated that it plans to expand its presence in Ukraine and use the experience gained during the war to develop international projects.
In total, the company intends to invest approximately $10 million in Ukrainian defense technology development.
Strategy for entering the defense technology market
The investment is part of Terra Drone Corporation’s broader strategy to enter the defense tech market.
In 2026, the company announced the launch of a new defense technology division. It also plans to expand its operations in Ukraine and NATO countries.
To develop this segment, the company plans to create a separate entity—Terra Defense.
What is known about Ukrainian drones
Amazing Drones develops interceptor drones capable of:
- fly distances of up to 32 km;
- reach speeds of up to 300 km/h.
These drones are designed to intercept enemy drones.
Development of the defense startup ecosystem
Earlier, Defence Builder announced the expansion of its accelerator into a full-fledged ecosystem with a $5 million venture fund and service offerings for defense startups.
The project portfolio includes the following companies:
- Sine Engineering
- Falcons Systems
- MaXon Systems
- Huless
They are working on technologies for the defense sector and unmanned systems.
