The European Union has allocated a new tranche of aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility in the amount of €1.8 billion.

This is stated in a statement published on the website of the EU Council, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“The funding is aimed primarily at strengthening Ukraine’s macro-financial stability and supporting the continued functioning of its public administration,” the statement said.

Thus, since 2022, EU countries have provided assistance to Ukraine for about €179.8 billion.

Ukraine Facility

The Ukraine Facility is a financial program of the European Union (EU) aimed at supporting Ukraine during the war and its recovery.

It entered into force on March 1, 2024, and provides up to €50 billion in grants and loans to support recovery and reforms in the period 2024-2027.

Of this amount, up to €32 billion is tentatively earmarked to finance the reforms and investments identified in the Ukraine Plan. Disbursements are conditional on the achievement of specific targets.

Since the start of the program, EUR 6 billion has already been disbursed in the form of transitional financing, EUR 1.89 billion in the form of an advance payment, and four tranches of approximately EUR 4.2 billion, EUR 4.1 billion, EUR 3.5 billion, and EUR 3.2 billion.

What reforms has Ukraine implemented?

After assessing Kyiv’s request of September 29, 2025, the European Commission concluded that Ukraine has implemented a number of key reforms in the following areas

  • judiciary
  • fighting corruption and money laundering;
  • financial markets
  • human capital and education;
  • business climate;
  • decentralization and regional policy;
  • energy sector;
  • management of critical raw materials;
  • green transition and environment.

The EU Council emphasized that regular implementation of reforms and transparent use of funds remain key conditions for further tranches under the program.
