The euro is soaring: National Bank exchange rates as of January 28

The National Bank of Ukraine has once again raised the official euro exchange rate, and the currency has been hitting historic highs against the hryvnia for the second day in a row. The previous record level was set on January 21, 2025. This is evidenced by updated data on the National Bank of Ukraine website.
New euro exchange rate
According to the regulator’s decision, on Wednesday, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro will be 51.22 UAH. For comparison, on Tuesday, January 27, the exchange rate was set at 51.06 UAH.
Thus, the euro continues its rapid growth and is consolidating at record levels.
What about the dollar
At the same time, the US dollar is showing a moderate decline in the official segment.
As of January 28, the National Bank set the dollar exchange rate at UAH 42.95, while a day earlier it was UAH 43.12.
On the cash market, on the contrary, the dollar added 10 kopecks and is trading at an average of 42.90 UAH.
