Eurovision Song Contest 2025: bookmakers improve Ukraine’s position

One of the largest music competitions in Europe, Eurovision 2025, will take place in May 2025. Although the final is still a few months away, betting companies are actively updating their forecasts and bets on the winner, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Leaders according to bookmakers’ forecasts

As of now, Sweden remains the favorite of the contest. The country’s representatives, the KAJ band with the song “Bara bada bastu” about a Finnish sauna, have the highest chances of winning – 19%.

Austria came in second place, ahead of France. According to analysts, JJ with his song “Wasted Love” has a 16% chance of winning.

Israel rounds out the top three with 12%, while France (10%) and the Netherlands (6%) also remain in the top five.

What are Ukraine’s chances?

Ukraine will be represented at Eurovision 2025 by the band Ziferblat with the song “Bird of Pray”. At the moment, the Ukrainians are ranked 9th, having risen from 10th place. Bookmakers estimate their chances of winning at 2%.

It’s worth noting that the odds are constantly changing, and the final results can be completely unexpected. Therefore, the main intrigue will remain until the Eurovision 2025 final in May.

What is known about Eurovision 2025

the 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Swiss city of Basel.

The semifinals will take place on May 13 and 15, 2025.

The Eurovision Grand Final will take place on Saturday, May 17.

The contest will be attended by 38 countries, 32 of which will compete in the semifinals.

The 20 semi-final winners will be joined by representatives of the Big Five countries in the grand final: Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as well as last year’s winner Switzerland.
