Indisputable evidence emerges that Russia deliberately targeted Okhmatdyt: details

The Security Service of Ukraine has released evidence confirming that Russia carried out a targeted missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv using an X-101 cruise missile. This was reported by the SBU, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
Thus, at the scene of the tragedy, the SBU investigative team found numerous pieces of the missile, including
- part of the engine of the X-101 cruise missile;
- a fragment of the wing deployment mechanism;
- a fragment of the jamming unit;
- the middle part of the missile body;
- tail section fairing and a fragment of the hydraulic unit;
- fragments of the engine casing with inventory and serial numbers.
The SBU experts claim that the attack was targeted based on the following facts:
- The nature of the damage is consistent with the power of an X-101 warhead (400 kg). The two-storey building of the hospital was completely destroyed, and the surrounding buildings were heavily damaged. Such destruction could not have been caused by a NASAMS system, whose warheads are about 20 times less powerful.
- The proportions, shape and size of the missile captured on the video fully correspond to the characteristics of the X-101 and do not resemble any SAM missile, including NASAMS missiles.
- The missile’s flight path (climb before attack and impact at an angle of approximately 60 degrees) is typical of the X-101.
- Objective control materials obtained by radar confirm the use of an X-101 air-launched cruise missile.
The SBU emphasises that the investigative team worked at the scene of the tragedy from the first minutes, collecting all possible material evidence. The Service also refutes attempts by Russian propaganda to manipulate the video footage, calling them “cynical and ridiculous”.

This information is important evidence of Russia’s war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine and can be used for international investigations and trials.
