The e-Veteran card has been launched: how to use it

The Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine has developed and launched an e-Card of services for war veterans in communities. "Komersant Ukrainian" looked into what services are available and how to use them.
“The E-Card is essentially a data aggregator that the veteran community has been lacking. Now everything that veterans need can be quickly found via their smartphone or computer, specifying only the region or their territorial community,” explained Oleksandr Porkhun, Acting Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The card itself is available on the e-Veteran platform. The services offered by the state, as well as non-governmental and international organisations, can be used by
- veterans
- women veterans
- family members of veterans and women veterans;
- families of fallen servicemen and women.
Currently, the portal offers 7,542 services. Among them:
- psychological support
- medical programmes;
- patriotic education;
- art
- starting your own business;
- services for the development of veteran communities.
How to use the e-Veteran card
The portal contains information to simplify the “find-come-receive” process for every veteran.
The algorithm for working with the e-Card is as follows:
- the user visits the website;
- filters the region, community, type of service;
- reads the name and description of the options provided within the service;
- sees the address, comes, applies for the service or receives it immediately.
