Concorde Capital founder Igor Mazepa was involved in a traffic accident: a pedestrian was killed.

On the evening of February 9, Igor Mazepa, founder of the investment company Concorde Capital, hit a pedestrian in Zhytomyr region. The businessman said he is cooperating with the investigation.
This was reported by the Zhytomyr region police and Igor Mazepa on Facebook, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the police, the traffic accident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. at the 204th kilometer of the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Kamyany Maydan in the Zviahel district.
“It has been preliminarily established that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, a 49-year-old Kyiv resident, was traveling in the direction of Zhytomyr. On an unlit section of the road, he hit a 60-year-old resident of the community who was crossing the roadway. Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, the pedestrian died on the way to the hospital,” the police report said.
According to the police, preliminary tests showed that the driver was sober.
The investigation is ongoing. Investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr region have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation rules by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation into all the causes and circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
The businessman himself wrote on social media that he is cooperating with the investigating authorities.
“In order to prevent possible insinuations, I would like to report that I was not tired, did not consume any substances prohibited for drivers, which was confirmed by a medical examination at the scene, and did not violate any traffic rules. I am cooperating with the investigation. I will provide all the details a little later.”
Concorde Capital isa leading Ukrainian investment company founded by Igor Mazepa in 2004. It acts as a financial intermediary (broker) and active investor in various sectors of the economy.
