Radiorele plant put up for sale: auction conditions and what the investor will get

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has announced the privatization of 100% of the shares of the Radiorele Plant joint-stock company located in Kharkiv. This was reported by the SPFU press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The online auction is scheduled for October 28, with a starting price of UAH 234.385 million.
What is included in the privatization object
The buyer will receive the following:
- five real estate objects with a total area of over 49 thousand square meters (production buildings, warehouses, workshops)
- 12 units of transport and special equipment manufactured in 1983-2013 (one was transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine);
- a staff of 57 employees who, as of June 30, continue to work at the enterprise;
- valid lease agreements, including 479.4 square meters of leased space.
Conditions for the new owner
The Fund has set a number of social and economic obligations:
- repayment of debts to employees and the budget within six months
- preservation of jobs and a ban on layoffs for six months after the transfer of ownership.
What is Radiorele known for?
The company was founded in 1920 and is one of the oldest manufacturers of switching equipment in Ukraine. The plant produces
- low-current and miniature relays,
- electromagnetic relays,
used in the aviation, space and defense industries.
At one time, the plant was a leading supplier of products for the Ukrainian and CIS markets.
Why this auction is important
The sale of the enterprise is part of a large-scale privatization program aimed at attracting investment and restoring the industrial potential of the regions.
Despite the difficult wartime conditions, the government is offering investors facilities with production capacities that can be modernized and integrated into the defense industry.
