Additional contracts for the production of drones will be signed this week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday, July 20, after a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
The commander-in-chief reported to the president on the long-range strikes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian territory, in particular, their “frequency and effectiveness.” “Russian logistics should suffer significantly in response to the prolongation of this war,” Zelensky said.
The President added that these days, Syrskyi and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov are working on “all requests for additional funding for the production and supply” of drones.
“We are talking both about drones for the frontline and about protecting our cities and communities from Russian attack drones,” he added.
Following the report of the Chief of the General Staff, the President also noted that the Defense Forces continue to destroy Russian subversive groups in Pokrovske and other areas.
“The enemy’s tactics remain the same: they are trying to seize new positions through small groups,” Zelensky said.
However, according to him, Ukrainian units are using “all necessary means” to detect and neutralize such groups.
