President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the results of diplomacy and personnel rotations with Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga. The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

During the meeting, the parties summarized the results of diplomatic work in 2025 and identified the key tasks of the Foreign Ministry for the current year.

The President emphasized that the effectiveness of diplomacy should be measured by real results for the state.

“The main thing is that every arrangement in the interests of Ukraine, every agreement, every partnership should work one hundred percent,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, foreign policy activities should maximize Ukraine’s position in the international arena and provide practical support in times of war.

Staff rotations in the diplomatic corps

Special attention was paid to staff rotations in the diplomatic corps. Zelenskyy said that in the near future, the Minister of Foreign Affairs should submit candidates for the renewal of the diplomatic service.

The President also announced changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Given the need for a consistently effective work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a new First Deputy Minister will be selected. I am waiting for proposals to make a decision,” the head of state said.

The broader context of personnel changes

The meeting took place against the backdrop of large-scale personnel rotations in the security and government sector announced by the President at the beginning of the year.

In particular, on January 2, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Kyrylo Budanov as the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, replacing Andriy Yermak. At the same time, Oleh Ivashchenko became the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

In addition, the President had previously stated that First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov could head the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
