Zelensky instructed to make drug prices more affordable for Ukrainians

Prices for medicines in some pharmacies are too high. The government will develop a solution to this problem. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening video address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to him, new issues are planned to be discussed at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. In particular, it is necessary to increase the financial stability of every Ukrainian family.
“In many ways, this concerns price issues, in particular, for vital things such as medicines. What some pharmacy chains are doing with prices is absolutely unacceptable,” the President said.
He noted that prices for medicines are the responsibility of the government, and more specifically, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko and the Antimonopoly Committee.
The President said that he had held a meeting with the Minister and representatives of the AMCU. According to Zelenskyy, he is “tired of waiting for appropriate proposals.”
“There is not much time. Everything that needs to be done is quite clear. We need concrete steps, concrete solutions that will make it possible to make the protection of our people’s health more affordable. If there are no solutions for the availability of medicines, there will be personnel decisions,” the Head of State added.
