Zelensky awarded Duda with the Order of Freedom

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the Order of Freedom to the current President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. Duda is on a visit to Kyiv today, June 28.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Decree No. 439, published on the website of the President’s Office.

As noted in the decree, Duda was awarded the Order of Freedom for outstanding personal achievements in strengthening Ukrainian-Polish international cooperation, support for state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Order of Freedom is a state award of Ukraine, which is given to both citizens and foreigners for outstanding and special services in asserting the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, developing democracy, defending constitutional rights and freedoms, etc.

The Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine that can be awarded to foreigners and stateless persons. As of August 23, 2024, there are 28 foreign holders of the Order of Freedom.

As a reminder, on the Constitution Day of Ukraine, June 28, Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv.
