President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for quick and balanced work on agreements with the United States. In particular, it concerns agreements on rare earth metals and security guarantees for Ukraine. Zelensky said this during his evening address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The president noted that his meeting with US President Donald Trump’s special representative Keith Kellogg “restores hope” and added that Ukraine “needs strong agreements with America that will really work.”
In the context of the meeting, Zelenskyy instructed to work “quickly and very, very carefully” on agreements with the United States.
“I instructed to work quickly and very, very carefully. The economy and security should always go hand in hand, and the details of the agreements matter: the better the details are, the better the result,” the president said.
He noted that he had also discussed the situation at the frontline with Kellogg.
“We discussed with General Kellogg the frontline, the need to release all our prisoners held in Russia, as well as the need for a reliable and clear system of security guarantees so that the war does not return and so that Russians do not break lives. We all need peace: Ukraine, Europe, America, everyone in the world,” Zelensky said.
It is worth noting that a joint press conference following the talks was originally planned, but it was canceled at the request of the American side. Zelenskyy‘s spokesman, Serhiy Nikiforov, said that the format of the meeting provided only for protocol filming without press statements or answers to questions.

Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on February 19, immediately after the US-Russia talks in Riyadh, in which he participated. He stated that he came to Ukraine to listen to the Ukrainian side and emphasized the readiness of the United States to provide the necessary support.
Earlier, on February 17, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his intention to visit the front line with Kellogg and meet with the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, as well as with the commanders of several brigades. The purpose of this visit was to provide the American representative with an opportunity to personally assess the situation on the front line and discuss security issues.
